Reservations

  • Registration is solely through the travel2row.com website. To register, please ensure that the following have been completed for each rower:
    • a completed Registration Form including rowing experience; For groups, one registration form can be used for all rowers;
    • an electronically signed Assumption of Risk, Release & Indemnity; and
    • acknowledgement that you have read and accept these Terms & Conditions.
  • Once your registration is received, your Rowing Experience is considered confirmed. Applicable trip materials will be sent through email address indicated during the registration. While we work to keep the calendar showing available dates current, changes can happen and our partners may not be able to offer your preferred start date. An alternate date will be found if possible.
  • Rowing The World and its partners reserve the right to refuse any applicant. Including immediately before rowing, particularly but not exclusively, if there is a health concern.

Payments, Changes and Refunds

  • Full payment is required at the moment of registration, unless otherwise stated. For Independent Rowing Experiences requiring deposit only at the time of the registration, the balance will be due typically two weeks before Experience start date. Some Experiences may have a different payment schedule. If the payment is not received before or on the due date, we have the right to consider the trip cancelled. Each Experience is priced in the local currency. Payment can be made by credit card. If you have Euro, US dollar or British Pound bank accounts, you can also pay by direct deposit.
  • In the event that you need to cancel your trip, please notify us via email.
  • Refunds less $100 or 100 € per rower administration fee will be offered if the cancellation is 30 days or more before the start of the Experience.
  • For cancellations between 14 and 29 days before the start date, 50% of the payment will be refunded.
  • For cancellations 13 days or less before the start date, no refunds will be provided.
  • Some Experiences require a damage deposit for use of the equipment. This payment will be taken at the time or registration. If our Partners report no damage, we will refund the full amount. If damage to equipment is reported, the amount due to the Partners will be assessed and communicated.

Weather related cancellations

  • If the row is cancelled the day before due to bad weather/water conditions forecasted for the day of the row then the amount for the cancelled row will be refunded.
  • If the row is cancelled on the same day, no refund will be provided.

Health Insurance

  • We require every rower to have full travel health insurance. Please provide us with an indication that you have this insurance once your trip is confirmed.

Information Package

  • After your registration has been received, you will be given access to an online Information Package with detailed information about the tour. Please feel free to contact us and discuss anything about the trip.

Responsibility

  • Rowing The World does not operate any of the Independent Rowing Experiences.
  • Rowing The World and its agents and associates act only as agents for the traveller and can accept no responsibility for the service of any rowing club, tour operator, accommodation, restaurant, carrier or other services used in connection with these tours, nor any liability for claims, damages, expenses or other financial loss to persons or property. In the event that it becomes necessary or advisable to alter the itinerary or arrangements for the comfort and/or well-being of the participants, such alterations will be made without penalty to Rowing The World. The right is reserved to cancel a tour and to decline to accept any person as a member of a tour at any time.
  • Photos of customers taken during a trip may be used for promotional purposes.
